Teacher Shout Out (TeacherShoutOut.com) is a place to celebrate the difference that teachers, advisors, coaches and other educators make in people's lives. It's a community of heartfelt gratitude.
Yes, please do! If your teacher is no longer actively teaching, simply click the "Just saying thanks" button at the bottom of the form. However, your Shout Out will not be eligible for the contest.
To send a Shout Out, you must be a legal resident of the United States, Washington DC, Canada (excluding Quebec) or Puerto Rico, and be 13 years of age or older.
There is no limit to the number of Shout Outs you can send; however, you must submit them one at a time.
Submitting a photo is not required but encouraged.
You may only submit a photo that you personally took.
Photos submitted must be in .jpg, .gif or .png format and be no more than 2MB.
We want to make sure TeacherShoutOut.com is a positive community, so all submissions are monitored before they go live to ensure they do not violate our community content restrictions. You will receive an email once your submission is live.

Any K-12 or college/university teacher, advisor or coach who made a difference in your life and is still actively teaching is eligible to win the Teacher Shout Out contest. The teacher must also be a legal resident of the United States, Washington DC, Canada (excluding Quebec) or Puerto Rico, and be 18 years of age or older.
Unfortunately we are unable to open this contest to the residents of Quebec at this time.

You can enter nomination between 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") on January 15, 2013, and 11:59:59 p.m. PT on March 15, 2013.
Yes, your teacher may be nominated more than once. If this happens, we will tally all votes collected by the same teacher.
Yes, after the nomination period ends you will still be able to send a Shout Out. However, your teacher or school will not be eligible for the contest prize.
Voting starts at 12:00 p.m. noon PT on March 16, 2013 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on April 30, 2013.
To vote for a teacher, coach or advisor, use our "Search" feature to find a Shout Out submitted for them. After selecting the educator's state, you can find submitted Shout Outs by entering their name, the city where they teach or their school's name. If you'd like to vote for other educators, we welcome you to browse through the nominees by going to "Read a Shout Out." Each qualified Shout Out will have a "Vote" button on the bottom left corner. You will be prompted to enter your date of birth, email address and a verification code. You will then need to check your email and confirm your vote before it can be counted.
You are allowed to vote once a day until the voting period ends at midnight Pacific Time on April 30, 2013. Be sure to check your email after each vote to confirm your selection and make your vote count.
You are voting for the teacher. If a teacher has received multiple nominations, we will tally all votes collected by the same teacher.
In order for your Shout Out to be entered into the Herff Jones Teacher Shout Out Contest, it needs to be entered between January 15, 2013 and March 15, 2013 at midnight Pacific Time. If your Shout Out is not entered by midnight Pacific Time on March 15, it will not be eligible for the contest. You are allowed to vote for your favorite Shout Out and educator starting March 16th, 2013. Voting ends on April 30th, 2013 at midnight Pacific Time.
In order to make sure your vote is counted, you will need to confirm it. After you have voted for your favorite teacher, coach or advisor, Herff Jones will send a confirmation email to the address you entered. You will need to click on the link in that confirmation email. After you have clicked that link, your vote will be counted.
If you cannot locate your confirmation email in your inbox, we suggest checking your spam folder for a message from herffjones@teachershoutout.com. To prevent this from happening, you can add herffjones@teachershoutout.com to your email address book.
The confirmation process is designed to avoid fraudulent voting. We want to ensure that the Herff Jones Teacher Shout Out Contest is fair to everyone and that only authentic votes are counted.
The two nominees receiving the highest number of votes for each of the five school categories below will be deemed the Grand Prize winners in their respective category.
The school sizes will be determined by MDR data (schooldata.com), as of November 8, 2012.
The winners will be announced on or around May 15, 2013.
The winning teachers will receive a personal prize of $2,500 USD and a $2,500 USD donation to their school.
