Ms. Scofield,

Thank You

for changing me for the better.

This woman is the sweetest, strongest, toughest person I've ever met. Knowing our potential and wanting to help us reach it, she's tough on us and expects more out of us than any other teacher. No matter what struggle is burdening her -- even a recent diagnosis of lung cancer -- she is forever there supporting us. The love she has and shows for her students and community is immeasurable. She inspires everyone who comes into contact with her to be the very best that they can be every single day.

Mrs. Angelos,

I'm Grateful

We have two sons, one graduating from LHS this year and one who graduated in 2010. Kelly has been a trusted adviser, a good listener, supportive and encouraging toward both of our sons and to us as parents whenever we have called or stopped by. It seems clear that Kelly is a good person who really cares. She has played an instrumental role in the successes our sons have experienced both in high school and college. Thanks so much Kelly!!!

Thanks,
Anne C.

Mrs. Day,

Thank You

Connie, you are always learning and applying what you've learned to the classroom. You care for each student and go above what is required. You spend late nights developing ideas and responding to your informal assessments, adjusting accordingly. You make learning fun and every year I see a group of students confident in their ability and excited about learning. You are also always willing to share your ideas with others and help us all be better teachers.

Thanks,
Lorie S.

Ms. Ernenwein,

Thank You

My daughter really enjoyed your World History class. I personally never really liked History and I think that had to do with always having a boring teacher. You made learning exciting by use of videos and the internet and your love of the subject and your love for teaching. Thanks.

Ms. Cameron,

A Shout Out

I have been working with Amy for 14 years. When we were getting our Master's degree, Amy and I became great friends. I remember after listening to her one day talk about how much she wanted to make a difference in her students lives, suggesting she come and work with me at an alternative school. She questioned whether or not she would affective. After being teacher of the year twice in our district and state runner up once, I think the answer is obvious. She absolutely makes a difference!

Mrs. Merki,

I'm Grateful

My 7 year old started 2nd grade on a first grade reading level. This truly amazing teacher, Mrs. Merki, dedicated herself to helping Alexis. After 6 months she is finally on a second grade reading level, and loves to read! If all of our teachers were so dedicated, our children would strive much more that they currently are.

Ms. Smith,

Thank You

Smith is an amazing teacher, dancer, and person in general! She has taken on more roles than just a teacher in and out of the class room. There aren't enough words to describe how great she is, both inside and out. She is an awesome single mom, who has the world's cutest/sweetest little boy. Smith is one of my role models! She is so humble and doesn't see herself in the same light that we (her students) do, even though she should. She is an absolutely amazing and deserving woman! Love you Smith!

Mr. Long,

I'll Never Forget

Mr. Long was awesome. I was going through a rough time and he noticed me. He pushed me yo strive for greatness in the classroom and out on the sports field. He was always there when I needed a helping hand. He is the greatest reason I am a teacher today. More than half of the teacher I am today I owe to Mr. Long. He taught me the importance of seeing all students as people and individuals first. In order to be a great teacher, he taught me that one needs to educate the whole child.
