Mrs. Cahoon,

A Shout Out

I am grateful for everything you did to help me be my best. I remember passing with flying colors. Not because of your earnest guidance, but for being there when needed. Having and/or had a learning disability meant that trying harder was okay. It was achieved. Not only that I conquered my fear of speaking and writing grammatical English, I also learned a lot about myself (and healed spiritually in the process). The road to stardom is quite ways away.

Thanks,
Alexander T.

Mr. Hanika,

Thank You

Mr. Hanika has taught me from my first day as a freshman about the muscles and how weight training will help you to strengthen them. He's also been a huge role model for me. My freshman year i was scared cause it was my first day in high school and i had his class first period and sure enough Mr. Hanika started cracking jokes and made my first day was easier. Now i've had him for 4 years and I'm glad i took his class, he's the most caring teacher at kamiak. He cares a lot about his students!

Mr. Britt,

Thank You

Mr.Britt, where do I begging with this man. He is the main reason I'm still in school. I have had my ups and downs in life and he was always there to lend a hand. My dad had a stroke, my parents got divorced and my uncle committed suicide and Mr.Britt was there through it all. Most importantly he is a teacher, not just a person who assigns you work and gives you text books but he is a man who inspires others and helps them in a fun way. He has taught me more than any other teacher ever could.

Thanks,

Mr. Schaffer,

A Shout Out

I know he isn't around today (passed away from brain cancer years ago), but I moved to this school in second grade and he was my first teacher there. He read us poetry every day. He also read "The Great Brain" series by John D. Fitzgerald. This inspired my love for reading. Thanks so much Mr. Schaffer.

Mrs. Leventhal,

I'm Grateful

Not only was Mrs. Leventhal one of my favorite all time teachers, she was also very supportive of her students. I remember a time she spoke to me about how sometimes things are not always fair and helped me get through something that for a 10 year old felt like a big deal. I've taken that small lesson with me throughout life and for that I will always be grateful!!

Mrs. Montgomery,

I'm Grateful

Mrs. Montgomery (Queen) is one of the best teachers I have come across in my time as a parent. I have 4 kids and if I knew this school was around when my others were coming up they definitely would have gone to this school. She is providing my daughter with a superior education and foundation to excel in all that she does in the future. She provides guidance, leadership, and love to my child and all that come in her presence. She excels in her field and leads by her words and her example.

Mama Guthro, I could never repay you for all the lessons you taught me. You're such an amazing teacher, a caring person, and a wonderful friend. You've done so much for our community, our school, our team, and me. You're not only a former teacher of mine, but also my friend, and I'm so happy I got a chance to work with you. You're the reason I want to be a teacher. I cannot thank you enough for getting me through the many rough patches of eighth grade. I love you Mama G.

Mr. Brown,

Thank You

Mr. Brown, I swear you are one of the coolest if not THE coolest teachers at our school. Like cooler than Teddy Roosevelt cool (yessir, it's possible). Likewise you are one of the best if not THE best teacher, and I hope you never leave us because Volcano wouldn't be the same without you. History was fun before but you take it to a whole new level, AND you incorporate life lessons. Thank You Mr. Brown!

Mrs. Lucas,

I'll Never Forget

Thanks for never giving up on me like everyone else has. Thanks for being part of why I'm in GATE English classes now! Thank you for being part of why I enjoy writing so much! And most of all thank you for listening to me when I was depressed and needed someone to tell my feelings to. It was great having someone who would not only listen but care as well. Now that I'm in high school I realize just how important everything you've done is.

Thanks,
